Holy Cow Baseball Blog

"Baseball is not necessarily an obsessive-compulsive disorder, like washing your hands 100 times a day, but it's beginning to seem that way. We're reaching the point where you can be a truly dedicated, state-of-the-art fan or you can have a life. Take your pick." ~Thomas Boswell

Cubs 9, Rangers 4

The Cubs rebounded from yesterday's 10-1 beating quite nicely. Maddux made his first start of the spring and Joe Borowski made his first appearance. Jason Dubois, Jerry Hairston and Angel Echevarria each hit homers for the Cubs, the first of the spring for all three. For more game details, check out TrueBlue, where Gavin liveblogged the game.
Note: Corey Patterson was hit on the knee by a pitch in the second inning, and was taken out of the game. Diagnosis--Contusion of the right knee. Whether this is a good or bad thing, is for you to decide.
